About Alison Byrnes

Alison Byrnes was born, raised and educated in the Illawarra. 

Alison has spent the last three decades working with and for our community. She has dedicated her personal and professional life to helping local residents and community organisations to get a better deal for the Illawarra from all levels of Government. 

Alison grew up in Woonona and now lives in Wollongong with her husband, Paul. 

Alison is committed to a future for the Illawarra that:

• Has high quality services like healthcare and Medicare, early childhood education, disability and aged care, that are available when people need them.
• Supports the development of a skilled workforce to take advantage of emerging industries and new jobs, and grow existing businesses.
• Invests in local infrastructure, social and affordable housing, education and training.

Alison will always fight to make sure that the Illawarra gets its fair share, and to make our community an even better place to live, work and raise a family.
